\nPharmacological Properties:Carbocysteine is a potent mucolytic that improves the rheological properties of the secreted mucus, restores normal ciliary function and facilitates clearance of mucus by expectoration. Carbocysteine reduces the liability to the respiratory tract infections and improves lung functions. Cuaiphenesin is a potent expectorant and mucolytic agent that increases the volume and reduces the viscosity of the mucus.
